This info. was provided to me by Gertrude Walsh Mc Laughlin and Robert Walsh. There is also mention of Daniel Walsh in the book, "The History of the Police and Fire Departments of the Twin Cities : Their Origin In Early Village Days and Progress To 1900." This book is located at the MN Historical Society in St . Paul.

This is what it says about Daniel P. Walsh:

"Daniel P. Walsh is a tinsmith by trade. He was born in Boston, Mass. thirty-four years ago. He entered the departmen t in 1896, and is now serving as truckman with Hook and Ladder Company No. 3."

Daniel married Helena Reiling.
