CIS 4555 - Software Development Internships
|
||||
An internship is a required part of the curriculum at The College of St. Scholastica. It is a program where the student is placed in a work setting for at least 150 hours. Tuition must be paid because semester credits are earned. It is desirable that the student is paid by the participating organization. The work experience must be directly related to the student's academic program and career objectives. The student should register for the internship course during the time the student is completing the work. If this is not feasible, students may register for internship credits for a single semester following completion of the work. A pass/fail grade rather than a letter grade is used in recording the result of the internship. Students who register for internship credits and do not complete the internship will be given an 'IP' or "In Progress" grade until an internship is completed. Students who are working full time in positions that prevent the completion of the internship may apply for a waiver of the internship requirement. Some students also choose to complete a community service internship. Click here to access the CIS internship forms.
