Student Final Report

The goal of the student's final report is to assess the outcomes of the internship. It is required before credits can be awarded. This is to be a formal report of your entire internship experience. Portions of the report may be published on the web for use by future students.

The report should include a cover page and the following:
  • Name, location and overview of the employer.
  • Name, email, and phone number of supervisor.
  • Dates of the Internship and semester you plan to register for CIS 4555 credits.
  • Job title and job description.
  • Major responsibilities.
  • Specific projects on which you worked.
    • (Describe each project in detail and include print-out samples)
  • Describe an incident or a reflective moment when you realized you had just learned something important about being a computer professional, working as a member of a group, or working in a modern organization.
  • Overall evaluation – was it worthwhile? Did you have any problems? What have you learned? Any other positive or negative aspects of the internship?
  • Suggestions that you have on how the internship could have been improved.
  • Suggestions that you may have for improving the CIS curriculum based on your internship experience.
  • Any other comments.
