Student Responsibilities
- The student is responsible for making sure the team's technical solution to the project is completed on time and satisfies the client's requirements to the fullest extent possible.
- The student is responsible for acting professionally when dealing with the client and the other team members. It is particularly important that a professional image be maintained with clients, since many clients provide projects to the department year after year.
- The student is responsible for tracking the time spent on the course using the provided time accounting sheets.
- The student is responsible for learning any new technologies needed for the client's project. It is common for students to use advanced development environments in the course, which may not have been covered in earlier courses.
- The student is responsible for meeting regularly with the other students on her/his team.
- The student is responsible for making sure the team communicates regularly with both the client and the instructor. This often involves arranging meetings with the client when needed, attending all staff meetings, and making sure the instructor receives weekly reports on the project.
- The student is responsible for making sure the entire team functions well together.
- The student is responsible for bringing any problems with the team or the project to the attention of the instructor.
- The student is responsible for participating in the final team presentation.
