Project Description - In your first project using the Adobe Illustrator software, we want you to create an original piece of artwork utilizing the Illustrator tools and techniques you’ve learned thus far.

The original piece of artwork should represent a traditional medium such as a pencil or ink drawing, a woodcut block print, a watercolor or oil or acrylic painting, stained glass, or some other "traditional" medium of artistic expression. You can also combine the aforementioned media. The final piece can either be monochrome or color. However, keep in mind the limitations of the style of media selected (for example, ink drawings are usually only black and white).

If you choose to work in color, recall the color theories and terms we have learned about in class, and try to incorporate these into your work (keeping one of these in mind is just fine!):

Dominant Color
Restricted Color
Color Harmony
Color Contrast (Complimentary Colors)
Monochrome

Once again, your grade for this project will be based on:

Technical Prowess
Fulfilling of the Assignment
Aesthetic Qualities

You will not need to mount this assignment. Simply turn in an electronic version of this project.
