Assignment 8: Out of Words

Task: Create a submittion for the following contest. You do not need to actually submit your artwork, only create it. You may use Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Print out your work to be handed in.

Here are the new design rules for submissions that you must follow for this assignment.  They changed from last year and so I have just now updated this assignment.  I still believe all work needs to be done in Black/White or gray-scale.

Again this year, as we've done in past years, Out of Words is holding its cover contest.

What to include: Out of Words, The Literary & Artistic Journal of the College of St Scholastica, 2002, and volume 7

Art work needs to fit into a 5X8 space

There is a $100 award

Submissions can be brought to the Humanities office
Questions can be send to words@css.edu

We are including photos and all types of drawings this year to try and get as many submissions as possible (last year we only had 3!).  If the winning design is a photo we are going to have it printed; if the winning design is a drawing/digital artwork then we will do our traditional block printing method
