Scanner Instructions for ScanJet 5300C scanners
Method one:
- Place
image in scanner.
- Push
scan button (left of four blue buttons on front of scanner).
- Make
sure “Scan to” is set to “ImageReady 1.0”.
- Uncheck
“Select parts of Page” check box.
- If
desired, make the resolution high (better detail)
- From
the Settings menu choose Resolution
- Choose
“Set Custom Resolution
- Change
150 dpi to an higher number (300 dpi and 600 dpi are common)
- Click
OK
- Click
on the “Scan” button.
- Wait
for image to appear inside Adobe ImageReady software.
- Choose
File ->Save As and save the file to your K: drive or Zip disk in
Photoshop format.
Method two:
- Run
Photoshop.
- From
the menus choose File -> Import -> HP Precision Scan
- Wait
30 seconds or so….
- Uncheck
“Select parts of Page” check box.
- If
desired, make the resolution high (better detail)
- From
the Settings menu choose Resolution
- Choose
“Set Custom Resolution
- Change
150 dpi to an higher number (300 dpi and 600 dpi are common)
- Click
OK
- Click
on the “Scan” button.
- Wait
for image to appear inside Adobe Photoshop software.
- Close
HP Precision Scann
- Choose
File ->Save As and save the file to your K: drive or Zip disk in
Photoshop format.
