Scanner Instructions for ScanJet 5300C scanners

 

Method one:

 

  1. Place image in scanner.
  2. Push scan button (left of four blue buttons on front of scanner).
  3. Make sure “Scan to” is set to “ImageReady 1.0”.
  4. Uncheck “Select parts of Page” check box.
  5. If desired, make the resolution high (better detail)
    1. From the Settings menu choose Resolution
    2. Choose “Set Custom Resolution
    3. Change 150 dpi to an higher number (300 dpi and 600 dpi are common)
    4. Click OK
  6. Click on the “Scan” button.
  7. Wait for image to appear inside Adobe ImageReady software.
  8. Choose File ->Save As and save the file to your K: drive or Zip disk in Photoshop format.

 

 

Method two:

  1. Run Photoshop.
  2. From the menus choose File -> Import -> HP Precision Scan
  3. Wait 30 seconds or so….
  4. Uncheck “Select parts of Page” check box.
  5. If desired, make the resolution high (better detail)
    1. From the Settings menu choose Resolution
    2. Choose “Set Custom Resolution
    3. Change 150 dpi to an higher number (300 dpi and 600 dpi are common)
    4. Click OK
  6. Click on the “Scan” button.
  7. Wait for image to appear inside Adobe Photoshop software.
  8. Close HP Precision Scann
  9. Choose File ->Save As and save the file to your K: drive or Zip disk in Photoshop format.
