At the College of St. Scholastica, the faculty and students have one goal. This goal is to learn how certain factors affect the human body in different environments. The goal is accomplished through clinical and research settings organized by the faculty.
In the Exercise Physiology Laboratory, the students learn from the faculty. Specific methods of measuring cardiovascular, metabolic, and pulmonary responses are presented and students then learn to use the metabolic analyzers and exercise ergometers. They also learn aerobic/anaerobic capacities along with ways to measure muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, and body composition.
