Test Booklist. List by call number,
author, and title of current books covering test theory and construction.
H.A.P.I. File (Health & Psychological Instruments database. This searchable CD describes several thousand tests, surveys, and questionnaires that have been used in health and psychological research. These are usually low cost or at courtesy of the researcher. Abstracts are available, but the more information and instrument must be located in fullt text articles or obtained from the author). The HAPI CD is available on request from the CSS Library Front Desk.
Listservers. Listservers are online discussion forums in which professional post questions and share information. There are more than 30,000 different forums on a myriad of different topics. One of these may be a resource for you to post questions for sources, solicit opinions, and network with other who have similar research interests. PsychLit/Silver Platter. This series of CD's are housed at UMD and can be obtained at the reference desk. Disks 14 & 24 contain extensive abstracts of psychological research from hundreds of journals over the past decade, that can be searched by key words. You must have a CSS or UMD ID to use the database. The abstracts can be printed or downloaded to disk for later searching and printing.
Rep Test. Online version of George Kelly's Role Construct Repertory Grid technique for eliciting personal constructs. You can use a preformatted one or customize your own.
Test Collectors and Test Publisher Catalogs! There are several people at CSS who have strong interests in tests and measurement, and may have good advice, test samples for review, or test publisher catalogs. These resource people include: Dave Swenson (MGT), Van Pancake, Jerry Henkel-Johnson, Deb Schroeder, Angela Rosenberg (PSY), Steve Lyons and Kathy Richards (Student Development Center).
