MGT6100 Individual Behavior & Personality
Please check this page weekly. We will post announcements and responses to questions. If you have additional questions or responses, please contact the instructor.

10-17-00. Writing. Some of the papers I have seen are a very good start! It takes awhile to get comfortable with APA style. Be sure to have your teams review and comment on content, clarity amd style--be honest and direct, making suggestions where you can. Be sure to check the Writing Suggestions I have in the Manager's Library. Also remember that writing is most often described as the "craft of revision," in which an idea is worked and reworked until it is polished. Be patient and keep up the good ideas you have for cases and theory application.

9-4-00. First assignment. We will be spending a lot of time discussing your managerial style. Please go ahead and begin readings Benfari (text) and taking the self assessments. Likewise, start exploring the webpages and some of the self assessments. Most of these are brief and some are self scoring, but they take time. Get a head start. See you on tomorrow! NOTE: The Benfari text shipment has not arrived and should be in next monday.

8-31-00. Only a few days before the first class. It will be good to meet all of you. I'm just about done with the web page links for your readings, but a word of caution--There are a lot of pages! I encourage you NOT to print off all the readings--you may end up with a 3-4 inch thick stack that will make  difficult  locating particular readings. These web pages will be around for a long time and I will likely add new links. See if you can try a "paperless office" approach to reading, and minimize printing costs. Alternately, you may download the entire website onto a zip disk and store it for keeps!

7-30-00. Welcome! to all of you "early-birds" who have checked this webpage at this early date. This will be your check-in page for last minute announcements, broadcast responses to questions, and posting board for useful information between classes. If there is a problem with weather, you will receive either an e-mail or check here. I'm looking forward to meeting with you first class session this Fall. Start reading through Benfari's book because we'll be doing a lot of talking about your managerial style.
